It's time for our second annual plant swap!

Spring is the time for planting the seedlings you grew, splitting outdoor bulbs, splitting rhizomes to make new houseplants, and starting plants from cuttings! During this drop-off period prior to Plant Swap Day, take what you have extra, or what you want to replace, and come trade them in!

Want to join in? Here's what to do:

  1. If you have some extra outdoor bulbs, bring some bulbs into the library packed in a little dirt in a plastic bag & trade them for a voucher!
  2. Take plant cuttings, place them in (disposable) cups of water, bring the cups into the library and trade them in for vouchers!
  3. Houseplant getting too big? Splitting a houseplant via rhizomes (roots)? Bring the potted baby plant you’ve split off in for a voucher!
  4. Just want to trade out houseplants to diversify? Bring the plants in, pot and all, and exchange them for vouchers!
  5. Have extra garden seedlings and baby plants? Bring them in and trade them for vouchers!
  6. Drop off anytime library is open: Mon-Thurs 9 am to 8 pm. or Fri 9 am to 5 pm - or bring them in the day of the swap!

Plant swap day is May 4th at 10 am!!

Can't drop plants off early? That's okay-- just bring them in on swap day!

All healthy plants, cuttings, bulbs, etc. will be accepted, but they must be labelled with the plant name on the cup, bag, container, pot, etc. Swaps will be done on a 1-1 basis: you bring one plant, you take home one plant!

On May 4th, bring your voucher and come to the Plant Swap between 10am and 12 pm. Browse around, choose your new plants, and take them home!

Let’s get growing!
