This book club answers that question with a big 'Heck Yes!' The Banned Book Club only explores books that have been banned or challenged.
This section of the Banned Book Club meets on the third Tuesday of every month from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Book selections are made 3-6 months in advance. Any interested readers are welcome to join the club and dive into discussions at any time!
This month, the Banned Book Club will discuss The Hate U Give by Angie Thompson. The Hate U Give has been repeatedly and consistently challenged throughout the nation, making the American Library Association's (ALA) Top 10 list of most often challenged books almost every year since its publication.
You are welcome to bring your own book, but library card holders have access to this book for free through the Quincy Public Library (or your local library, if you do not reside in QPL’s district).
